Glittering creativity at a premium price

I got  a chance today to visit a jewellery and clothing exhibition in Chandigarh. The two young and creative designers showed off their creativity of work. A young jewellery designer Tanya Jain and fashion designer Karishma Singhal shared details of their work. 

Tanya's jewellery was inspired by the Mughal era. Tanya has made the use of Polki and Meenakari in her jewellery. Polki refers to uncut diamonds. 

Karishma's clothing collection showcased her creations from casual to semi formal, bridal and western wear. Karishma’s signature Lycra blouses and crop tops, gorgeous velvet wraps were tempting. 

However pretty their stuff was but it was not pocket friendly. Since all the jewellery designs ranged from 60 thousand to 35 lakhs. And the clothing collection started ranging from 10 thousand. Which seems a little too expensive for a common buyer.
